Yamaha RX100 Will Be Relaunched In India
India Yamaha Motors is currently planning to re-launch the legendary RX100 model in India.
Yamaha is currently looking for various opportunities including style, engine type and other factors before launching it. The company will maintain the same design of the earlier bike that provided some impressive results in the 1985 till 1996.
Yamaha RX100 will sport with the stricter emission norms might be with BSIV and including four-stroke engine and the company has said that they won’t launch it two-stroke model.
“We are working on the lines of the RX 100 and are looking to have something of a similar product for India. It will be early to talk about it but we will come out with a product there.” said by Pankaj Dubey, national business head, India Yamaha Motor.
“We cannot launch the RX (100) with a two-stroke engine but we are working on a four-stroke version for the bike,” added Dubey.
If Yamaha launch it and price it well, the planned target can be touched easily as this bike is know very well for its speed, low maintenance and other such factors.
Yamaha targets 10% share by 2012 if they achieve 850000 units of sales from its current 3% share.
